I am been writing these blogs for about 5 months and I have noticed few things. And in seeing this I wonder if I was on the outside lookingin would I really want to be a part of such a thing. I read blog after blog and write some myself, about how bad other Christians are in the perspective churches. Do not get me wrong, their is a tension because some of the things need to be address but I see more bad than good. I see people gravitate toward one blog more than another to cosign what the writer says or to challenge him or her. Not necessarily because they agree but just to be a part of a conversation. Because they understand that if they leave a note then they may drive more people to their blog. I admit I am guilty. (Another one of my prideful flaws popping up.)
So they win or lose the battle, just to find the next day that the person still thinks the same way. Do minds or hearts are changed but now they have a person determined to come back and harass them the more. But I just wonder if Iwas a unbeliever (all things being considered and equal) would I really want to link up with other Christians if all Christianity is about ripping other ministries. I would probably say no.
It is a thin line to tread, when you are trying to reveal truth to people that are obviously caught in bad situations in a church. But does every blog you write have to be about disclaimingthe efforts of another ministry. Is there anything good that can be said about Christianity? Sometimes I wonder based on some of the blogs that we write. Could it be that bad press is better for blog numbers just like in the media world.
